The main tunnel with a length of 38,000 m is divided into north and south sections by an access tunnel (2540 m long with a diameter of 6 m). The main tunnel is drilled by two TBM machines with a positive slope; the northern tunnel with a length of 19,000 m and a drilling diameter of 4.5 m and the southern tunnel with a length of 19,000 m and a drilling diameter of 4.2 m.
